Sarah Ogborn has Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Purdue University (Boiler Up!), a masters in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University, and a masters in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. Ogborn is also a National Board Certified educator. She has been teaching at Antioch Community High School since 2005.
Ogborn teaches AP Language and Composition, English III, and Yearbook Production. Prior to advising the Sequoia, Ogborn advised the literary magazine, Finesse, for five years. During that time, Finesse won several awards including the "Design of the Year" and an "All-American" rating from the National Scholastic Press Association. Publications are her favorite classes to teach since she is a self-proclaimed design and font geek. Typography really makes her happy.
In her free time, Ogborn enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog. Their family passion is traveling and tasting all the world has to offer. Ogborn also enjoys cooking, especially for those she loves. Ogborn often says that if she could have any job besides teaching, she would be a travel writer. This way, she could travel on someone else's dime. The Ogborn family is also die-hard Boilermaker fans. They enjoy visiting the Purdue campus as much as possible.
